Repair/Alter an existing asbestos siding building utilized as a Dining Facility/Credit Union. Work will consist of interior and exterior renovations to include associated mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. Facility has exterior asbestos shingle type siding which will require removal in accordance with EPA regulations. Asbestos ceiling and wall panels and flexible joint material on return/supply air ducts will require removal/disposal. This project is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding as the prime or as a subcontractor on the project, evidence of capability to perform including references for similar work with contract numbers, points of contact, telephone numbers, and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. Dollar amount of current bonding capacity is required. If adequate interest is not received from qualified SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Replies to this notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $17,000,000 average annual revenue for the previous three years.
