Z -- S/M FOR CONSTRUCTION OF COCKPIT MOTION FACILITY ADDITION TO BUILDING 1268A SOL 1-071.GGK1.1085 DUE 061995 POC Bid Distribution Office, 804-864-2547. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a two story addition to the southwest side of Building 1268A, Cockpit Motion Facility. The building addition shall be approximately 480 gross square meters, with approximately 240 square meters per floor. The building shall consist of two computer laboratories, a mechanical room, and a telephone room on the first floor and a control room, laboratories, and offices on the second floor. Access to the addition shall be through the Cockpit Motion Facility on the first and second floors and to the second floor of Building 1268A via a new bridge above an existing pump room. The addition shall be constructed of a steel superstructure mounted on a 1.22 meter high concrete base wall supported by a reinforced pile foundation. The first floor shall be a 150 millimeter reinforced concrete slab on grade with areas of raised flooring as indicated on the drawings. The second floor shall be a 75 millimeter reinforced concrete slab on metal deck.
