Project involves: Removal of existing cafeteria refrigeration equipment and compartment, including the condenser water system and replacing with new equipment and compartments. Some asbestos abatement is required as existing refrigerant pipe insulation contains asbestos. Project is extensively phased to minimize interruption to the cafeteria operations. The bidder or subcontractor performing the asbestos work shall meet special competency qualification requirements, and provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks.
