The project site is divided into areas deisgnated Base Area and Optional Areas. The Optional Areas will be included (exercised) only if funds become available. The work consists of pushing vertical strip drains through the levees and old dredged material into the underlying dense sands, installing the required geotechnical instrumentation, and all other associated work as specified. Magnitude of the project is extimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Duration of project is between 90 and 225 days, dependent upon the exercise of options.
