The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking sources for platen type four post ''kiss-cutting dies'' to be used in the prodution on pressure sensitive postage stamps. The dies shall fit and operate in the Bobst Perforator units currently in use at the BEP. Relevant measures are approximately: Die size - 34'' wide x 13'' long x 8'' high (864 x 330 x 203mm), Stroke - 2'' (50mm), Web width - 22'' (559mm), Cut area - 21'' wide x 10.5'' long (534 x 267mm), Cut pattern - will vary according to postage stamp layout. The BEP does not intend to provide detailed manufacturing drawings - only performance and form/fit/function criteria. All interested businesses are requested to submit written relevant product brochures, technical specifications, price lists, etc., within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date of this notice. The Government will not be obligated to pay for information generated as a result of this request.
