ASSOCIATION OF OLD CROWS ELECTRONIC WARFARE TEST & EVALUATION CONFERENCE POC ACO Convention Department (703) 549-1600. The AOC will conduct its first EW Test & Evaluation Conference on 31 May - 1 June 1995 at the Mitre Corporation, McLean, Virginia. The Conference is intended to bring together key members in the EW test and evaluation community for presentations and discussions of the changes occurring in programs impacting the EW test and evaluation process. Maj Gen Gerry Carey, USAF (Ret), Associated Director Emeritus, Georgia Tech Research Institute will be the conference chairman. The keynote speaker will be The Honorable Philip Coyle, DoD Director, Operational Test and Evaluation who will discuss realistic operational testing of EW systems. The four technical sessions will concentrate on different aspects of the challenges facing the industrial and government communities in addressing the test and evaluation of EW systems and equipments. Dr. John Wiles, Deputy Director, T&E (Technology and Environmental Protection) and Director, Defense Evaluation Support Activity has organized a session on the EW test & evaluation process in terms of policy and implementation. This will include the EW evaluation process and lessons learned from the three services, an EW test perspective from Congress, and the concept of operation and threat lay down for the Joint Tactical Air EW Study. RADM John Zerr, USN, Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force will conduct a session concerned with an in-depth review of EW Operational T&E, which will include the EW measures of effectiveness (MOE) study conducted by the AOC, OT&E EW evaluation programs by the three services, OSD oversight responsibilities, and an EW industry contractor perspective. Mr. Ron Jacob, Technical Advisor, 46 Test Wing, Eglin AFB Florida has assembled a session which will review the present and future capabilities at EW test centers, which will include briefings by Eglin AFB, China Lake, and Ft Hauchuca/White Sands Missile Range. Finally, Mr. Harold Engler, Georgia Tech Research Institute has organized a session devoted to technology in support of improving the EW test process which will include the use of distributed interactive simulation testing and exit criteria development for EW system acquisition, joint advanced distributed simulation EW test, real time IR/EO scene generation for EW test applications, and MMIC EW receiver for EW data capture. Presentations are planned at the SECRET, U.S. ONLY classification level, and unclassified summaries of the papers will be made available to attendees.
