The Defense Mapping Agency intends to award a sole source contract to Micro-g Solutions, Inc. Arvada, CO, for the purchase of an FG5 Absolute Gravimeter. The contract period of performance shall extend for one (1) base year and four (4), one (1) year options that shall provide for the procurement of up to four (4) additional FG5 Absolute Gravimeters, training, maintenance, and operations support. The FG5 Absolute Gravimeter is based on United States Patent Number: 5,351,1222, Sep. 27, 1994, Absolute Gravity Inline Measuring Apparatus Incorporating Improved Operating Features. Authority for this Sole Source Procurement, for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, due to the uniqueness of the instrument and its capabilities. All responses must be in writing and must identify their business size status with their request. This procurement is being solicited under Standard Industrial Classification Code 3823.
