NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Talarian Corporation for the acquisition of RTworks Quickstart Bundle Software. This acquisition will be done pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)-ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE. This software provides network management capabilities for local area and wide area networks, as well as, development tools for special interfaces and applications. The Facility and Resource Manager (FARM) Project of NASA/GSFC is in need of this software for the integration of the Nascom communication equiment and network into a centralized network management control center. The RTworks Software is designed, manufactured, and marketed solely by Talarian. Because this specialized software is proprietary to Talarian, no other software supplier has the permission to resell or the capability to provide software updates and technical support. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature, demonstrating the ability to meet the requirement.
