Program Office - Package Analysis, (315) 330- 1858. Sources are sought
for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf
(GOTS) software application products that are candidates to support
Rome Laboratory's evolving operations. Applications of interest are:
(a) text document sharing, hypertext group access, and information
exchange; (b) groupware for enterprise-wide applications, shared group
access to enterprise information in databases, bulletin board
capability, track/log requests and responses; (c) workflow execution,
including work requests and status reporting; (d) travel order and
travel voucher processing; (e) financial management applications,
including civilian payroll, front-end support for existing government
financial applications and legacy systems, and interface with planning
and scheduling applications, adhoc query, planned versus soft and hard
actuals; (f) management of research/development contracts, including
procurement data capture, contract assembly, support for proposal
evaluation; (g) management of plans and schedules, including calendars,
strategic and business planning, milestone tracking, budget management,
work breakdown structure, ''what-if'' capability, and integration with
spreadsheets and financial tools; (h) conference room and resource
scheduling; (i) help desk support; (j) acquisition process support; (k)
inventory management; (l) Information Technology (IT) systems tracking,
including COTS hardware and software version control; (m) customer
service, including tracking customer inquiries and responses, history
of replies; and (n) human resources. Both end-user application products
and application components for building end-user functionality are
sought. The anticipated operating environment is an enterprise-wide
collection of Windows, Macintosh, and Unix clients operating with
Unix-based servers in a three-tier client/server architecture, or a
two-tier architecture. Applications which support clients on all three
platforms and allow programming access to all server operations and
data are preferred. Potential sources shall send three (3) copies of
their general marketing literature on relevant products for review,
including copies of applicable GSA Schedule or similar acquisition
arrangements for U.S. Government agencies. Personnel from DMR Group,
Inc. will be reviewing the literature along with Government personnel.
If any submitter objects to having DMR Group, Inc. read their replies,
the submitter should so state in their letter of transmittal. Rome
Laboratory personnel will then solely review the literature. Note that
this request is an identification of potential sources sought. No
