Foley, Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for the following: Item 1 -- Adhesive Catalyst, EC-2216 Part A (Translucent Form) in 55 gallon metal food grade drum with bung hold in the top closure -- During manufacture, drum shall be filled through bung hole to prevent the introduction of contamination. -- Material shall be filtered to 10 micron before pumping into drums -- Material shall have the following properties: Weight-8.0 to 8.4 lb/gal -- Viscosity-5000 to 9000 cp -- The properties of the mixed adhesive shall have a minimum average overlap shear strength at 75 degrees F of 1200 psi and a minimum average T-peel strength at 75 degrees F of 25 lb/inch width -- At least 70% of shelf life must remain upon receipt -- Provide MSDS sheets, Certificate of Compliance and Test report; quantity 10, unit 55 gallon -- Item 2 -- Adhesive Resin, EC-2216 Part B (Translucent Form) in 55 gallon metal food grade drum with bung hole in the top closure -- During manufacture, drums shall be filled through bung hole to prevent the introduction of contamination -- Material shall be filtered to 10 micron before pumping into drums -- Material shall have the following properties: Weight-9.4 to 9.8 lb/gal -- Viscosity-11000 to 15000 cp -- The properties of the mixed adhesive shall have a minimum average overlap shear strength at 75 degrees F of 1200 psi and a minimum average T-peel strength at 75 degrees F of 25 lb/inch width -- At least 70% of shelf life must remain upon receipt -- Provide MSDS Sheets, Certificate of Compliance and Test Report -- Item 3 -- A Material Safety Data Sheet must be provided for items 1 and 2 -- This procurement is being conducted under the NASA/MSFC MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy on April 16, 1993 -- Requests for copies of the RFO must be submitted in writing -- Transmission by facsimile to 205- 544-9080 or by Internet e-mail to janice.stewart@msfc.nasa.gov is acceptable -- RFO will be released on or about 15 days after publication in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) -- Firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO -- This procurement is a total small business set-aside -- All responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency -- The solicitation and any related documents to this procurement will be available over the Internet -- These documents will be in ASCII format and reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using client browsers, such as, MOSAIC -- The WWW address, or URL, of the MSFC Procurement home page is: ''http://procure.msfc.nasa.gov''.
