The Men's Service & Parade Caps shall be manufactured in accordance with U.S. Air Force Academy Specification USAFA CU 400-7, 23 June 1993. The Women's Service & Parade Caps shall be manufactured in accordance with U.S. Air Force Academy Specification USAFA CU 2090-05, 17 May 1993. Both specifications will be provided with the solicitation. The basic fabric for the service caps shall be cloth, blue, elastique, wool, 18.0 ounces which will be furnished by the Government. The basic material for the parade caps shall be vinyl-coated cloth (artificial leather), conforming to Class 7, untreated white of Federal Specification CCC-C-700, with some exceptions. All material for parade caps shall be furnished by the contractor. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price requirements contract with a one-year basic period and 3 one-year options. Estimated yearly quantity for service caps is 2015 each men's and 315 each women's. Estimated yearly quantity for parade caps is 815 each men's and 165 each women's. All quantities include fill-in orders, if required. Exact quantities and sizes will be provided by delivery order no later than 30 Dec each year for service caps and 30 Mar each year for parade caps. All caps shall be delivered yearly no later than 30 Apr for service caps and 15 Jun for parade caps. First articles, consisting of one each men's and women's service and parade caps, shall be required within 30 calendar days from date of contract award.
