Agency contemplates awarding five to ten contracts under the Small
Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III initiative. During Phase
III, commercial application of the Government-sponsored research and
development (R&D) conducted in SBIR Phases I and II is pursued. The
contemplated awards will be funded by EPA's Environmental Technology
Initiative for SBIR Phase III commercialization efforts. The
solicitation is open to parties that have received an SBIR Phase II
award from the Environmental Protection Agency, for projects deemed
appropriate under any of the following topics: A. Pollution Prevention
Technologies- including Industrial Sectors and Unit Operations; B.
Pollution Control- including municipal pollution control technologies
and industrial pollution control technologies; and C. Continuous
monitoring systems of the emissions, effluents, or residues for
industrial, municipal, drinking water, hazardous materials, or energy
production. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The
SIC Code is 8731, and the small business size standard is 500
employees. The solicitation will be available only in hardcopy, and
only one copy of the solicitation will be issued to a corporate entity,
regardless of the number of requests from one or more different
geographic locations. Parties interested in receiving a copy are
requested to submit five self-addressed mailing labels with their
written request for the solicitation. RFP #D500354M1 applies.
Interested parties should identify in their request the EPA Phase II
contract that was awarded to them by providing the contract number and
date of award. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about
May 30, 1995, with proposals due approximately 30 days thereafter. No
