The Environmental Protection Agency contemplates awarding five to ten contracts under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III initiative. During Phase III, commercial application of the Government-sponsored research and development (R&D) conducted in SBIR Phases I and II is pursued. The contemplated awards will be funded by EPA's Environmental Technology Initiative for SBIR Phase III commercialization efforts. The solicitation is open to parties that have received an SBIR Phase II award from the Environmental Protection Agency, for projects deemed appropriate under any of the following topics: A. Pollution Prevention Technologies- including Industrial Sectors and Unit Operations; B. Pollution Control- including municipal pollution control technologies and industrial pollution control technologies; and C. Continuous monitoring systems of the emissions, effluents, or residues for industrial, municipal, drinking water, hazardous materials, or energy production. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 8731, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation will be available only in hardcopy, and only one copy of the solicitation will be issued to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations.
