Systems, Inc., (the Company) acting under Contract No.
DE-AC05-840R21400 issuing by the United States Department of Energy
(DOE), operates the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge,
Tennessee. ORNL is soliciting industrial partner(s) in the field of
Plasma Source Ion Implantation (PSII). ORNL is developing a PSII system
with suppression of electrons (PSII-E) for use in single pass ion
implantation of complex shaped objects with target materials with high
secondary electron production, such as Aluminum. The industrial
partner(s) shall assist ORNL with the development and testing of the
PSII-E; shall engineer the PSII-E to a production level; and, shall
establish a manufacturing capability for the PSII-E. Industrial
partner(s) are being sought who are interested in entering into a
Cooperative Research and Development Agreement or other licensing
arrangements. Any industrial organization interested in pursuing this
opportunit or in receiving more information should respond with a brief
statement of interest (not more than 6 pages) describing the
organization's technical expertise in the development of ion
implantation equipment and previous technology transfer experience. The
statement of interest must be dated within 30 days from the date of
this notice. A potential partner workshop presenting the PSII-E device
and the commercialization mechanisms available may be held dependent
on the number of responses. No telephone voice responses or requests
