Specialist, (202) 366-9565 The primary objective of this procurement is
to identify (l) the fuel economy effects of incorporating variable
valve timing into an existing or representative V-6 engine design
suitable for use with a 3,750 pound equivalent test weight vehicle, and
(2) the incremental costs, weights, leadtimes, and capital requirements
associated with incorporating variable valve timing into the selected
engine. The proposed contract will be for a period of six (6) months.
It is contemplated that a IQC/T&M type contract will be award. The
solicitation will be mailed to those organizations responding in
writing to this announcement. Written request for this solicitation
must be accompanied by two (2) self-addressed mailing labels. The
