R -- AMERICAN RED CROSS CERTIFIED LIFEGUARDS POC POC Mr. Guerra (816) 843-3711, at the above address The Marine Corps intends to award a contract to the American Red Cross for American Red Cross certified Lifeguards who will provide lifeguard services at a recreational swimming pool. Period of performance is May 22, 1995 through August 27, 1995. Days of operation are Tuesday through Sunday. Hours of operation are 12:00noon to 7:00pm, local time. Collateral duties consist of monitoring and recording the chlorine, alkalinity, hardness, clarity, levels, and the air and water temperature. Also, conduct daily visual inspection of the locker rooms and report all suspected deficiencies to pool director and conduct periodic policing of the pool site, i.e., litter, such as paper wrappers, discarded containers, etc.. Request all prospective contractors submit their technical capabilities and pricing information to Contracting Office, ATTN: Gil Guerra, Kansas City, MO 64147-1309, within 15 days of publication of this notice in the CBD. All responses from responsible sources, which submit adequate substantiating detail with their responses, will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended contractor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. No solicitation currently exists for this requirement therefore an award will not be made on responses to this notice. Contractor requesting a copy of the solicitation, without providing technical and/or pricing information will not be considered when evaluating the feasibility of preparing a solicitation (0121)
