COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 3,1995 PSA#13381995 ACQUISITION RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM sponsored by Mrs. Colleen Preston,
Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Reform. The
Symposium will be held from 28-30 June 1995, at the Holiday Inn Crowne
Plaza in Rockville, Maryland. The theme is ``Acquisition for the
Future: Imagination, Innovation & Implementation,'' with the subtheme
as ``Acquisition Reform: A Mandate for Change -- Reengineering the
Acquisition Process.'' The Keynote Speaker is Mr. Richard A. Linder,
President, Electronic Systems Group, Westinghouse Corporation. Mrs.
Preston will moderate an Acquisition Reform Initiatives Roundtable. Dr.
Perry will be a featured guest speaker on 29 June 1995. Other speakers
include the following; Honorable Steven J. Kelman, Administrator for
Federal Procurement Policy; Mr. Daniel Goldin, NASA, (invited);
Honorable Togo D. West, Jr., Secretary of the Army, (invited); and
Representative William F. Clinger, Jr., (R-PA), (invited). Featured
panel presentations include the following; Service Acquisition
Executives Panel with the Honorable Paul G. Kaminski, Under Secretary
of Defense for Acquisition & Technology, serving as the moderator; and
an Acquisition Streamlining Legislation Implementation Panel.
Thirty-two acquisition research papers will be presented during eight
breakout sessions. During each session, you will have the opportunity
to choose between four paper presentations. The Symposium begins at
0830 hours on Wednesday, 28 June 1995, and ends 30 June 1995. A
continental breakfast will be available all three mornings, and lunch
will be served on Wednesday & Thursday. There will be a reception at

$195.00 if received and prepaid by 31 May 1995. LATE REGISTRATION:
$245.00 if received after 31 May 1995. Hotel rates are $100.89 per
night, single occupancy and $110.89 per night double occupancy.
