Carroll (509) 527-7214 (Site Code DACW68) The U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District intends to issue an invitation for bids for Equipment Rental to perform levee repair and maintenance work along the Snake and Gros Ventre rivers near Jackson, Teton County, Wyoming. The work will consist of placing gravel, cobble, or rip rap rock to repair damaged sections of levee reaches; placing gravel surfacing on levee top; placing subgrade material and gravel surfacing on designated levee access ways; and removing deleterious vegetation from designated levee reaches. The work will include the rental of: a) Rock-lip or gated-end-dump trucks - minimum 10 cubic yards; b) Track mounted hydraulic excavator - minimum 135 horsepower; c) Rubber-tired front end loaders - minimum 155 horsepower; d) Dozer - minimum 140 horsepower with blade and ripper; e) Water Truck - minimum 4,000 gallon rear spray bar; f) Roller Compactor, static or vibratory, self-propelled - minimum 11 ton capacity with 6-foot smooth drum; and g) Lowboy transport - minimum 40 ton capacity. Work will also include placing 3/4-inch crushed gravel and application of dust retardant. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000.
