Specialist, Kathy Fields, (410) 636-4299 The U. S. Coast Guard has a
requirement to establish a program for approximately 100 various engine
replacement parts for the Fairbanks Morse Inc. Model 251 Diesel Engine
on the 210' and 270' WMEC and 400' WAGB Class Coast Guard Vessels. The
form, fit and function of these parts must be exactly compatible with
the end item or system for which it is intended for on the diesel
engine. This is critical to the end item or system functional
characteristics. It has been determined in accordance with FAR 6.302-1
that negotiations will be conducted with only Fairbanks Morse, Inc.
and their authorized distributors due to the fact that exact
compatibility with the end item is required. A requirements type
contract is anticipated for a base year with (4) 1 year option years.
Deliver F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center Curtis
Bay, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-1792. Delivery is 9
months or sooner after receipt of delivery order. See Numbered Note 22.
