Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland 20670- 5304 36 -- NONLINEAR CRYSTAL SET FOR EYESAFE WAVELENGTH CONVERSION SOL
N00421-95-R-5168 DUE 053095 POC Linda Cullison, Contract Specialist,
(301) 826-1827, ext. 152, Linda Suggs, Contracting Officer, (301)
826-1828, ext. 108. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division,
Warminster, PA, has a requirement for a nonlinear crystal set for
eyesafe wavelength conversion consisting of 4 KTA (potassium titanyl
arsenate) crystals. These crystals are 8mm x 8mm x 15mm long (quantity
of 2) and 10mm x 10mm x 15mm long (quantity of 2). All of these pieces
are for noncritical phasematching in optical parametric oscillators
converting 1.06 microns to 1.538 microns (x-cut: theta = 90 degrees;
phi = 0 degrees). The entrance and exit faces are polished to lambda/4
at 588nm; +/-1 arcmin parrallelism; 10/5 scratch/dig. Delivery
requirement is 45 days after contract award. It is anticipated that a
firm fixed price contract will be negotiated with Crystal Associates in
accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only
One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Meet the
Agency's Requirements. Crystal Associates, Inc. has completed an SBIR
to eliminate the ''grey tracking'' problem in potassium titanyl
phosphate (KTP) and arsenate (KTA) families that will guarantee
performance. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall
be considered by this agency. Capability information may be faxed to
(301) 826-1864 to the attention of Ms. Linda Cullison. See numbered
