The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division plans to procure the following: Pinnacle Micro Optical Library System Model ALTA 20-Gb (including software, and Mac interface cables) or Equal which meet the following Salient Characteristics, 4 each. 1) Must support 512/1024 byte sector disks. 2) Minimum capacity of 16 disks (20-Gb). 3) Average effective access time of not more than 19Msec. 4) Data transfer rate (burst) of not less than 5.0-Mb per second. 5) Data transfer rate (sustained) not less than 2.0-Mb per second. 6) Average disk change time of not more than 7 seconds. 7) Support for a minimum of 1 internal optical reader. 8) Must support continuous compositive recording format conforming to ISO/IEC 100894 standard. 9) Support AppleTalk and Ethernet networks. 10) Macintosh system 7 compatible. 11) Must support volume, folder, and file aliases. 12) must enable import and transport of data cartridged to other ISO compatible drives.
