Contracting Officer Maintenance and support services for installed
Airport Weather Information System (AWIS). Equipment shall include the
AWIS terminal, network terminal, boxes, hybrid converters and
batteries. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, test equipment,
parts, software, facilities and any other technical or administrative
support requirements necessary to maintain/repair. Maintenance sites
are located in the states of New York, New Jersey, Delaware,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
Contract will be for five (5) months (May 1, 1995 through September 30,
1995) with four (4) one year options. Proposals shall be evaluated on
the following technical elements ranked in order of priority: (a) Firms
successful experience in maintaining a fully operational AWIS system,
(b) Firms ability (methods/manner) to diagnose operator/system failure,
(c) Methods to be used to prevent down time of AWIS system and (d) The
availability of qualified technical personnel and their expertise
pertinent to maintaining this type of system, ie, training and levels
of expertise of personnel to be used on the project. Price proposals
also requested. Technical/price proposals shall be weighed on a 5:1
ratio. The proposed proposal is 100% set-aside for small business. SIC

Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
