The Government intends to contract sole source with Protex Special Systems of Westminster, CO for preventive and emergency maintenance of fire alarm systems throughout the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center complex. The systems to be maintained are Notifier intelligent, addressable systems operating in the main hospital building, the fire station, the Provost Marshal building and 30 other buildings in the Fitzsimons complex. The equipment manufacturer, Notifier, has stated in writing that Protex Special Systems is the only company with Notifier authorization to repair and maintain the high level Notifier intelligent networking fire alarm reporting systems (hardware and software) located at Fitzsimons. Contract shall consist of a one year base period from Sept. 1, 1995 through August 31, 1996 and two one year option periods. See Note 22. (0122)
