The U.S. Army Missile Command intends to procure an effort entitled ''Unmanned Ground Vehicles/Systems Joint Project Office Engineering Technical Services.'' The objective is to provide support services in acquisition management, engineering, integration requirements, cost analysis, test functions, configuration management and data management during Demonstration and Validation (DEMVAL) and Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phases of the weapon system acquisition life cycle. A cost-plus-fixed-fee level of effort contract, with a basic effort performance period of 12 months from date of award is contemplated. The basic level of effort will consist of 37,900 manhours with a surge of up to 13,265 hours. The effort will contain a first year 12 month option for 40,900 manhours with a surge of up to 14,315 hours, second year 12 month option for 45,900 manhours with a surge of up to 14,315 hours, and a third year option for 37,900 manhours with a surge of up to 13,265 hours. The SIC Code for this requirement is 8731. This requirement is being offered to the Small Business Administration (SBA) for limited competition among eligible 8(a) concerns. Section 8(a) firms interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation should request a copy in writing as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the Section 8(a) Program. A SECRET faciity and SECRET storage capability or execution of a written agreement to establish such a facility and capability within 30 days of contract execution will be required of the successful offeror.
