Procurement of professional Civil Engineering services on an ``as-needed'' basis for a one year period with option to renew for two additional years. Services required may include geotechnical investigations and tests; Landscape Architect advice; survey and design of various projects such as roadways, trails, parking facilities, recreation sites, and related structures and utilities; establishing construction controls; and preparation of plans, right of way plats, specifications and cost estimates. The project may be located throughout the Gallatin National Forest southwestern Montana, and adjacent forests. The estimated cost range is not to exceed $100,000. Work is estimated to begin July 1995. In addition to the criteria listed in Numbered Note 24, the Forest Service may administratively elect to consider the volume of work previously awarded by the Northern Region of the Forest Service (1) to determine which of the most highly qualified A&E firms will be selected for the project being considered and/or (2) as a method to permit qualified A&E firms to gain experience so that they can compete as a most highly qualified A&E firm on future projects.
