USDA, Forest Service, Shasta Trinity National Forest is issuing a negotiated contract for the Six Rivers National Forest to perform services to manually collect seed from trees and shrubs on four districts of the Six Rivers National Forest. The Contractor shall locate, monitor and collect fresh, viable, sound seed from health plants. Contract shall also package, label and deliver collected seed. Contractor must be able to positively identify species and sub-species of plants that seed is to be collected from, and locate specific collection areas on togographic maps. This contract will be a requirements type contract. Location of the seed collecting area is Smith River National Recreation Area (formerly called Gasquet), Orleans, Lower Trinity, and Mad River Ranger Districts. Technical proposals will include (1) organization/management, (2) record of past performance and (3) production capability and capacity. A pre-bid tour will be held on June 6, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lower Trinity Ranger District. See Numbered Notes 1 and 3. (121)
