38103-1894 Q -- MARKET SURVEY FOR PROVIDING A HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAM POC

District, Corps of Engineers, is seeking sources capable of providing
a health and fitness program designed to promote better health and
physical fitness for Memphis District employees and their families. The
program should promote cardiovascular health and must consist of four
phases of work: (1) Testing. Each new enrollee should be tested to
determine their physical abilities and cardiovascular condition; (2)
Design. Based on the test results and depending on their needs, a
fitness program must be designed to bring the employee to an acceptable
level of fitness depending on the needs and desires of the employee;
(3) Development. The employee must be coached and counseled during
exercise periods through the development phase by competent physical
fitness personnel; and (4) Maintenance. Once the employee has reached
a satisfactory level of fitness as determined by these guidelines and
the employee's desires, he/she should be placed on a maintenance
program. Only limited coaching and counseling will be required during
this phase. Sources must have facilities that are clean, sanitary, and
operated primarily for health and physical fitness. These facilities
must be located within two miles of the Clifford Davis Federal Building
which is located at 167 N. Main St. Sources must also have additional
facilities at other locations throughout the greater Memphis area. The
facilities shall incorporate as a minimum the following capabilities:
aerobic, lockers and change rooms, cardiovascular (including equipment
similar or equal to that manufactured by Sprint, Lifecycle, and
Stairmaster), racquetball/handball, basketball/volleyball, weights
and/or exercise equipment (similar or equal to Nautilus), steam/sauna,
swimming, and indoor jogging. Technical information may be obtained by
