New postal policy allows architect-engineer contracts to be for one year with four one-year renewal options for a total of five years. The guaranteed amount of $5,000 for the period of the contract remains. Individual work order limits may be raised from $50,000 to $100,000 each. They will be negotiated and issued under the contract. The total amount of work ordered per 12-month period may be raised from $200,000 to $500,000. The total amount of work ordered over the five year period may be raised from $500,000 to $2,500,000. These changes may be made at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Deadline for submissions is hereby extended one week to be postmarked not later than May 8. This is not a request for proposal. (123)
