K. Faughnan, 703-602-8116. The Naval Sea Systems Command Engineering
Directorate (SEA 03) Electrical Machinery Systems Branch (SEA 03E21)
has a requirement for submarine Battery wetdown and cycling services
for Guppy I MOD C, Gupppy I MOD E and Trident battery cells, together
with associated data, for delivery beginning at time of contract award
and ending September 1996, and if options are exercised, delivery
ending September 1998. These services are to be provided in accordance
with NSTM S9086-G1-STM-010/CH-233 V1 R2 and Technical Manual
S9923-AF-MMO-010/88219. The following estimated quantities apply: under
the basic requirement services are required for up to nine (9)
batteries including one (1) Gupppy I MOD C, six (6) Guppy I MOD E, and
two (2) Trident batteries with options for up to twenty-three (23)
additional batteries including three (3) Guppy I MOD C, seventeen (17)
Guppy I MOD E, and three (3) Trident batteries. The wetdown and
cycling services are to be provided by GNB Industrial Battery Company,
829 Parkview Blvd., Lombard, Illinois 60148-3249, the original
equipment manufacturer (OEM), prior to shipment of new batteries. See
