The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates
awarding a maximum of two, one year contracts to evaluate the efficacy
of the CDC infection control guidelines in reducing or preventing
nosocomial transmission of tuberculosis (TB) in hospitals. In order to
be considered for this requirement the offeror must be a hospital
which has had both a CDC-investigated outbreak of Multidrug-Resistant
TB and have undergone follow-up study since the outbreak and be able to
submit letters from appropriate individuals in the departments of
hospital administration, nursing, infection control, and employee
health expressing support for the project. Written or facsimile
requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored if received
within 15 days after the RFP issue date, which will be on or about May
24, 1995. Requests received after that date will be filled on a
first-in-first-out basis until the supply is exhausted. The date
specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 40 days after the
RFP issue date. Requests for the RFP must be in writing and must cite
RFP number 200-95-0957(P). Telephone requests will not be accepted.
