R -- MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES SOL 607-25-95 DUE 062695 POC Contact Point, Linda Brereton, (608)262-7069, Contracting Officer, William Clark, (608)262-7068 This VAMC requires transcription services of various medical and administrative dictation from cassette tapes and/or modem connection for the period of one year with two additional option years. The contractor must furnish all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, material, supplies and transportation for transcription of material which includes a high incidence of technical terminology and requires a knowledge of specialized vocabulary peculiar to a wide variety of specialty services, e.g., hospital summaries, operative reports, radiology reports, MRI special procedures, compensation and pension examinations, etc. The Contractor must have knowledge and experience in medical terminology and will be required to submitt proof of their qualifications and experience with their bid. Contractor will be required to match VAMC Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP) setup, 9600 Baud, IBM PC or compatible with Word Perfect 5.1 version and Hayes modem or compatible, ASCII text compatible, and communications software. Contractor must be able to interface with VA Lanier Dictation System, Voice Writer 1600 and shall provide all equipment necessary for transcription of dictated material. Contractor shall provide transcribed reports onto a 3 1/2'' floppy disk, unless telecommunicated. All expenses for transmitting, receiving and returning this work to this facility within 24 hours for routine, and 4 hours for emergency, will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
