Teri L. Berkery, Contract Specialist, 202/874-2438. The Bureau of
Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for a Contractor to
provide an electro-machinist training program to increase the ability
and effectiveness of the BEP's electrical and mechanical maintenance
personnel and their ability to respond to emergency and preventative
maintenance requirements of production equipment in a more timely and
efficient manner. The training shall consist of electrical, electronic,
hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial computers used at the BEP
Washington, D. C. facility. The Contractor shall provide the formal
classroom training and lab exercises for journeyman electricians and
machinists which directly relates to the existing production of United
States currency and postage stamps. The period of performance is
October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997 with four (4) one-year
option periods. Interested firms must submit a written request for
Solicitation No. BEP-95-69(TN) to Contract Specialist, Teri L. Berkery
within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of this announcement.
Requests must be submitted in writing, no telephone requests will be
accepted. All firms shall include in its written request the company's
size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
