Construction of two Remote Transmitter/Receiver (RTR) Towers at the Chicago South ASR-9 facility in Oak Forrest, Illinois, consisting of but not limited to: 1) Construction of two concrete foundations. 2) Installation of two 60 ft. bolted self-supported antenna towers with appurtenances. 3)Installation of a safety climbing device for each tower. 4) Furnish and install lightning protection, grounding and bonding for the two RTR towers. 5) Install direct earth burial government-furnished RG-333/U cable (seven runs for each tower), from the RTR towers to the existing Administration Building. 6) Furnish and install two junction boxes and miscellaneous electrical components as shown on the drawings. 7) Miscellaneous other work. Performance is expected to begin September 1995. Bid documents are expected to be available on or about May 31. 1995. SIC 1542. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
