The building will have a reinforced concrete slab with concrete block walls with a stucco exterior insulation and finish system. The bar joist steel deck will support a lightweight insulating roof fill, rigid insulation board and a four ply built-up roof. A concrete approach with an asphalt driveway shall connect to an existing parking lot to the east. An existing chain link fence will surround the new building with new double gates to be installed. The building will house a new aqua ammonia feed system, a new pH adjustment chemical feed system and a new corrosion inhibitor chemical feed system to serve the potable water distribution system for Johnson Space Center. Lighting and electrical power to serve the equipment and controls will be provided. The project also rehabilitates the existing potable water chlorine feed facilities in bldg. 322. In addition, the project includes modifications to potable water distribution piping in both the 200's and 300's building areas in order to reduce system detention times. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The period of performance is 240 calendar days. This procurement is open to large and small businesses.
