National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement
for one (1) Q-Switched, Nd:YAG laser with power supply, and one (1) SD
temperature stabilized second harmonic generator. The laser shall have
an adjustable Q-switch repetition rate of 5-10 pulses/second, single
shot operation without varying the flashlamp repetition rate and
without using external circuitry. It shall have an optimized Q-switched
repetition rate of 10 pulses/second with a single flashlamp and single
Nd:YAG laser rod configuration. The energy per pulse shall be 650 mJ
at 1064nm, 300mJ at 532nm. The harmonic generator shall be used for
operation of the laser at 532nm. The power supply shall run on a 220V,
single phase, line voltage and require less than 10 amperes, and it
shall also be less than 21 inches high (533.4mm), 24.5 inches deep
(622.3mm) and 11 inches wide (279.4mm), with an air cooled water
supply. The laser shall not be more than 36 inches long (914.4mm) and
7 inches wide (177.8mm). The required time of delivery shall be 60 days
after award of contract. F.O.B. Point, destination, Gaithersburg,
