The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, MD, has a requirement for communications headsets (qty of 57) and lower-y cable assemblies (qty of 32) with an option for communications headsets (qty of 85). The system required is a modified version of a DH-132 style communication headset. When redesigned, the DH-132 is required for use in a severe marine environment onboard various U.S. Navy high speed combatant craft. The communications helmet shall possess a ballistic shell, integral liner system, and a communications kit. It shall provide sound attenuation and intelligibility in a high noise marine environment. The communications helmet shall be stable in mechanical construction, electrical characteristics, and acoustical performance. Delivery requirement is 45 days after contract award.
