Oros, Contract Specialist, (301) 344-3359 USDA, ARS, has a need for a capillary array electrophoresis (CAE) system that will determine exact size of DNA fragments ranging in size from 100 - 300 basepairs in length. ARS is seeking sources that can fully meet the following specifications for a CAE system: capable of making at least 1000 determinations per 8-hours; automatic sample loading; minimum of 48 capillary capacity; simultaneous analysis can be performed; excitation frequency of 488 nm for FAM and JOE florescent dyes; emission wavelengths in the 510-680 nm range; simultaneous channel monitoring; florescent detection capability less than 0.01 ng DNA/ul denaturing and non- denaturing seiving matrix.
