67 -- LASER UPGRADE SOL N02-CB-56214-83 POC Sarah Payne, Contract Specialist or Janet Mattson, Contracting Officer 301/402-4509. The National Institutes of Health (NCI) require a laser upgrade. The laser upgrade shall include installation of third 5 watt laser to an existing two laser FACStar Plus flow cytometer as manufactured by Becton Dickinson Immunocytometry Systems, 2350 Qume Dr, San Jose, CA 95131. While performing the required installation the contractor shall assume complete responsibility for the existing flow cytometer currently under the NIH wide maintenance contract with Becton Dickinson which assures the instrument of being up to 100% of original factory specifications. As a result of the upgrade, all three lasers shall operate simultaneously. The upgrade shall provide for detection of fourth and fifth fluorescent dyes when used in flow cytometry experiments. The upgrade shall allow 2 and 3 lasers to operate independently and compensate for fluorescent spectral bleed over. The upgrade shall allow the flow cytometer to identify cells in five (5) different fluorescent tagged monoclonal antibodies. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
