A -- TRAVERSING AND ELEVATING MECHANISM SOL M67854-95-R-2202 POC Jeff Campbell, Code CTQ-3JC, (703) 784-5822, EXT 234. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has a requirement to develop a new light weight traversing and elevating mechanism assembly. This mechanism will be part of a interface device used in attaching a weapon system to a mount, which will be utilized for the centering of the weapon, sighting in on a target and fire control adjustments. To accomplish this task, MARCORSYSCOM plans to issue a sole source solicitation to Accent On Design Incorporated, 4912 Wallace Neel Road, Charlotte, NC 28209 for Stereolithography Design and Prototype of a new traversing and elevating mechanism data package. Accent On Design is a small business concern and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8748 and size is 3.5 million dollars. This project will include Industrial Design, Engineering Development, Prototype Development, and Engineering Finalization. Samples, models, and prototype items are to be delivered incrementally to MARCORSYSCOM, Quantico, VA for form, fit, and function testing throughout the entire program. Vendors who have the capability to provide the requirements for this contract should submit in writing technical qualifications to verify that their candidate meets all of the above stated requirements not later than 09 JUN 1995..
