These services shall support the research, development, and transition of prototypes technology, and the operations and maintenance support of existing systems. This acquisition does not provide for production quantities of systems but does permit production of multiple quantities for system function and production process evaluations. Prototypes developed under this acquisition shall generally be reproducible and capable of rapid transition into low rate production quantities. Services under this acquisition shall be performed under task orders, as required. These efforts shall take place in a rapid response environment.
