Nashville, TN 37212-2637 C -- ARCHITECT-ENGINEER SERVICES FOR AN INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT
SOL 626-46-95-KB DUE 061495 POC Contact Point, Ken Bullington,
(615)327-5313 Indefinite quantity (open ended) A/E contract at the
Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nashville, TN for the
base period 7-1-95 through 6-30-96 and one additional year. This is not
a request for proposals. The services required under contract will
involve only the discipline mentioned herein and will be implemented
through individual/negotiated orders not to exceed $75,000 each.
Services contracted for will be the preparation of contract drawings
and specifications for both interior and exterior design on renovation
and new construction to correct problems with space utilization, life
safety, handicap accessibility, and the like and for Mechanical (HVAC
and plumbing) Electrical, and to a lessor degree, Asbestos Abatement
work. The number of orders that will be placed against the contract is
undetermined, however, the cumulative total for all orders shall not
exceed $450,000. Firms may be considered for other A/E openended
disciplines for the same period but will not be awarded more than 1
contract for these type of services for the time period specified
herein. Contractor will be required to have the following support
functions: (1) Spec writer/editor; (2) Drafting/clerical; (3) Design
calculations; (4) Working drawings; (5) Record drawings; and (6)
Miscellaneous reports. Selection will be based on the following
criteria which are listed in order of priority: (1) Location and
Facilities of working office(s); (2) Team Proposed for this project:
Background of project manager, other key personnel and consultants; (3)
Previous experience of team proposed for this project; (4) Proposed
Management Plan; (5) Present Proposed Design approach for this project;
(6) Estimating Effectiveness: Submit a summary of the past 2 years
which reflects your A/E estimate and the Bid/Award Price; (7) Schedule
Control; (8) Cost Control; Describe circumstances and outcome of any
litigation that the A/E firm has been involved in the past 5 years.
Indicate type and amont of liability insurance. Responses must be
