labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs of
the USCGC ESCANABA. All work to be performed at the vessel's homepier
at 427 Commercial st., Boston, MA. Period of performance is forty-nine
(49) days. Availability is scheduled for 2 October 1995. The
solicitation will be issued on or about 22 May 1995. The minimum amount
of work to be performed includes: Renew watertight fittings &
strengthen forecastle deck; Inspect intermeeiate shaft bearings; clean
shipboard galley, scullery, and laundry ventilation systems; Clean
various shipboard ventilation systems; modify auxiliary salt water
system piping; Renew ballaast tank cross connect peping; Inspect and
test air receivers and relief valves; overhaul, renew, and test
firemain, sprinkler, and counter-measure washdown valves; Renew
hydraulic oil fill flush deck housing; relocate oily waste holding tank
sounding tube; Hydroblast sewage peping; Renew portlights; Preserve air
receivers; Clean and inspect diesel fuel; JP-5 fuel; and lube oil
tanks; clean, inspect, and test hydro-pneumatic and hot water
accumulator tanks and components; clean and inspect sewage and grey
water collection and holding tanks; relocate the MK26 machine gun
mounts; Temporaty messing; Temporary Berthing; during the availability
