The U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research(NIDRR), proposes to award a eighteen-month contract to develop a national classification system for assistive technology devices and assistive technology services which will be used to support a national effort to collect uniform data on such devices and services. The authority for these services is contained in Public Law 103-218, Technology-Related Assistance for Induividuals with Disibilited Act Amendments of 1994. The Department of Education intends to procure for all of the tasks for a base period of eighteen months. Anticipated issue date is on or about May 22, 1995, closing date June 21, 1995.
