58 -- AIR/GROUND DIRECT PILOT/CONTROLLER BUOY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BCS) FOR THE GULF OF MEXICO SOL DTFA01-95-R-26851 POC Jim Blades, Contracting Officer @ (202)287-7167 As indicated in the 15 March 1995 Commerce Business Daily (CBD) announcement the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to conduct a limited competition, which will result in the award of a single contract to a single contractor for the air/ground direct pilot/controller communications capability via the buoy communications system program. The previous CBD announcement of 15 March 1995 had indicated the FAA plan to release a Draft request for proposal (RFP) in late April/early May followed by a Formal RFP in late April/early May 1995. The draft has been issued and comments received, the latest planned date for release of a Formal RFP is 30 May 1995. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All requestors for the Draft RFP will automatically receive a copy of the Formal RFP. (0128)
