The Naval Research Laboratory requires a scanning autocorrelator and optical delay line/data acquisition system. The system is required to repetitively measure the autocorrelation of incoming femtosecond or piscosend laser beam at scan rates of up to 100 Hz. It must provide an output beam comprised of two portions of the input beam that have been delayed in time with respect to one another, and which will be suitable for performing scanned pump-probe measurements. The scanner must also be capable of single step (nonrepetitive scans). A facility to acquire data from the pump-probe scanner, and which interfaces with MS-DOS compatible computers, shall also be provided.
