D -- ACQUISITION OF CONTROL DATA SYSTEMS ON-SITE ENGINEERING SUPPORT SOL ATD-124-TA-95/0643 POC Contact Tom Antoniel, (205)544-5087 CSC intends to negotiate only with Control Data Systems, Inc. (CDS) for a firm fixed price subcontract to provide one (1) man-year (2,080 man-hours) of on-site engineering support for the installed CDS X.400 Message Switches w/X.500 Directory Service (Mail *Hubs) located at Marshall Space Flight Center, AL (MSFC). This on-site person shall assist CSC electronic messaging personnel with managing, maintaining, and testing of new configurations and software updates for the MSFC and Agency wide Mail*Hub Systems. Said on-site person will be required at MSFC located in Huntsville, AL, five (5) days per week, eight (8) hours per day during normal working hours. The on-site person shall be proficient in all aspects of the CDS Mail*Hub software areas such that training of CDS personnel on changes resulting from software updates will be provided as required. The on-site person shall support engineering by configuring the MSFC systems and ancillary equipment and assist with testing MIME and future EMIG test requirements. Will configure the Mail*Hubs and test high speed MS Mail and cc:Mail gateways to include import and export functions. Will load CDS software updates (as supplied by CDS under separate CSC subcontract) on the MSFC ''Test'' Mail*Hub and test for errors. Will be responsible for debugging identified software errors through CDS's Technical Support Center. Responsible for trouble shooting MSFC and Agency wide systems. May require weekend testing and support of after hour failures.
