The Phillips Laboratory has the requirement for an on-site repair/maintenance service contract for the AMX 300 Spectrometer, model number AMX 1143 and 4.70 Testamagnet manufactured by USA Bruker Instruments, Inc. This contract will include technical and engineering services for the maintenance, repair, minor modification and calibration of the spectrometer. Specific services include: repair and/or replacement of defective components, adjustment and demonstration that repair equipment conforms to USA Bruker Instrument's published performance procedures, diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, response to emergency services within 72 hours notice excluding holidays and weekends and provide service records for adequate historical tracking. In addition to the services the Phillips Laboratory requires the software updates for the Spectrometer software. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6-302-1(a)(2) (services available from only one source), the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) intends to negotiate a contract with USA Bruker Instruments unless responses to this notice reveal other sources capable of satisfying the requirement at more favorable prices/terms. Interested vendors must submit clear and convincing documentation including prices and previously supplied services, that clearly demonstrates their capability to meet the Government's requirement. Information must include past contract numbers, points of contact and phone numbers. The period of performance shall be four years with the basic period of 1 Oct 95 thru 30 Sep 96 and three one year options to follow. Telephone requests will not be honored.
