INFOTECH '95. Dayton Ohio - The Dayton-Wright Chapter of AFCEA is proud
to present INFOTECH '95, ``Information Technology in the 21st Century''
at the Dayton Convention Center on October 3-5 1995. This year,
INFOTECH '95 will bring together over 60 high-technology companies that
will exhibit their latest offerings in the Information Technology
field. In addition to these exhibits, INFOTECH '95 will provide three
days of high-level panel discussions and in-depth technical
presentations on the latest issues facing the U.S. Department of
Defense. These discussions and presentations will focus on DOD's use of
Information Technology as they re-engineer and improve the efficiency
of their business process. The Dayton-Wright Chapter is the second
largest chapter out of 125 AFCEA chapters world-wide. The Dayton-Wright
Chapter is dedicated to using the proceeds from its various non-profit
events conducted during the year to support educational institutions
and associations throughout the Miami Valley. In 1994, the
Dayton-Wright Chapter provided over $60,000 in scholarships to Sinclair
Community College, Cedarville College and Central State University.
Also in 1994, these funds included $3,000 to the Wright Stepp Program;
$2,500 for Science Teaching Tools at Fairbrook Elementary School,
Fairview Middle School and Bishop Fenwick High School; and $5,000 in
the Enlisted Scholastic Assistance Program that allowed twenty-two
enlisted men to improve their technical skills and capabilities in the
C4I related field. Also in 1994, the Dayton-Wright Chapter established
an endowment fund with a $40,000 contribution to the Dayton Foundation
to ensure a sustained capability for supporting scientific and
engineering study vital to AFECA's national defense objectives.
Supports a wide variety of educational initiatives. AFCEA, The Armed
Forces Communications and Electronics Association, was founded in 1946
and serves as a bridge between Government requirements and industry
capabilities. Members represent top Government, industry and military
professionals in the field of communications, intelligence, information
systems, imaging and multi-media. AFCEA is a non-profit, international
organization, dedicated to the professional development of its
members. It supports global security by providing an ethical
environment for the close cooperation among its Government and industry
