The Air Force Flight Test Center has a requirement to install new windows in the front of the Bldg. 1600 office complex at Edwards AFB, CA. The requirement includes: 1) The installation of commercial bronze anodized frame windows with sliding openings 5/8'' dual glazed gray lite #14 tempered glass with screens 68'' x 43 1/2''. Adequate openings through a concrete wall must be cut and aluminum perimeter frame installed to support the bronze window frames. 2) The installation of commerical bronze anodized awning type windows with thermal sealed frames, gray lite #14 dual glazed tempered glass. 3) Install cosmetic windows over existing windows. The cosmetic windows will be stationary 2''x2'' bronze anodized framing anchored over exterior face, 1/4'' gray lite #14 tempered glass. Cosmetic windows shall match the exterior appearance of the commercial bronze windows. The magnitude of this construction project is $25,000 to $100,000. IFB F04700-95-B-0017 will be issued on or about 23 May 95 with a 30 day bid period. A bid guarantee and performance and payment bonds will be required.
