REPUBLIC OF KOREA: AGRICULTURAL SEEDS IMPORT PROCEDURES The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 95.100. 1. Title and number of pages of the notified document: Simplifying Import Procedures for Agriculture Seeds. 6. Description of content: Imports of agricultural seeds have, so far, only been allowed to those with the permission of the Minister of the MAFF. Under the proposed system, those seeds listed in No. 4 can be imported on the following conditions: The importers present a seed certificate issued by the seed inspection agencies in exporting countries recognized by international seed testing institutes. If importers can not present the certificate, they should have the seed inspected by the Korean seed authority. 7. Objective and rationale: Protection of farmers. 8.
