requirement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The applicable SIC
Code is 7629, and the size standard is sales of less than $5 million.
The Social Security Administration is seeking a contractor to provide
ongoing maintenance and repair services for Facsimile (FAX) equipment
located in various SSA builidngs in the Baltimore/Washington
metropolitan area. The FAX equipment consists of both Group III and
Group IV type units from various manufacturers including, but not
limited to, Panasonic, Pitney Bowes, Ricoh, Sharp and Xerox. The
contractor will be required to respond to repair requests for any
covered unit within eight (8) business hours of notification.
Contractor will be responsible for supplying all necessary parts and
labor to make the required repairs. Contractor must provide only
certified technicians to make the repairs. Contractor will be required
to provide loaner equipment for units which cannot be repaired onsite.
Any firm desiring a copy of the soliciation should send a request in
writing to the above address citing SSA-RFP-96-2531. The solicitation
will be issued on or about June 30, 1995 with responses due 30 days
thereafter. Service Contract Act provisions apply. Proposals from all
